Ellie Finnerty is a pop/acoustic singer-songwriter from Devon, UK, known best for her story-telling, dynamic vocals and captivating live performances. For an artist who is yet to drop her debut EP, she has already made big waves in the singer-songwriter scene both at home and abroad. She has most recently opened for The Undercover Hippy and Funke and the Two Tone Baby on their respective UK tours and performed on the Second Stage at Tunes in the Dunes Festival in Cornwall. 

Finnerty’s original music fuse the catchy refrains of pop, the honesty of folk with the story-telling of country. Each song is a diary-entry peek into her world, giving a voice to being young and uncertain and in and out of love, with lyrics that are deeply personal yet resonate universally. 

She introduced the world to her flair for story-telling with the infectious ‘Six Pound Forty’ in 2021 - the witty story of her teenage holiday romance - as a result of the song amassing over half a million views on TikTok. ‘Screen’ and ‘Home’ were to follow in 2022; aired on BBC Music Introducing South West, highly praised by DJ Daniel Pascoe and performed on the Live Lounge stage at Chagstock Festival ‘22.

When it comes to performing live, Finnerty is no stranger, having sustained a career as a professional vocalist and guitarist since the age of 19 with work that has taken her across the globe as Guest Entertainer on cruise ships across the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Australasia. Finnerty now gives her most confident and entertaining live shows; with seemingly effortless vocal control and an unmatched ability to instantly connect with the crowd in front of her.

With a string of live performances across the UK planned throughout the rest of 2024 and beyond, her fast-growing fan base are eagerly awaiting the arrival of her debut EP.
